The house stands at the end of a narrow road on the rock above the river. There is no sign on the lane, only the old gate and the bell, and we will be waiting just inside.

The valley road is slow and turns often. We keep a few places in the yard below the gate, and the last stretch up to the house is best walked without hurry.
