Accessibility.
A welcoming room, and a site that anyone can read.
The room
Our entrance is level from the lane, and the counter has space for a wheelchair at either end. The single step into the tea garden room can be ramped with notice. Tell us what you need when you book, and we will prepare the room for you.
This website
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. The site uses clear headings and landmarks, text that resizes without breaking the layout, visible focus styles for keyboard use, alternative text on images, and labelled form fields.
Motion
If your device asks for reduced motion, the site honours it. The slow reveals and parallax become simple, static states, so nothing moves that does not need to.
Dietary access
Accessibility includes what is on the plate. Tell us of any allergy or dietary need when you book, and we will shape the journey around it, including a fully plant based menu with notice.
Tell us
If anything here, in the room or on the site, is hard to use, please write to us. We treat access notes as a priority and will reply quickly to put things right.
