The townhouse facade lit low after dark
Stockholm, by the evening

An evening that climbs
three floors

A glass in the salon, a course finished at the fire, and a long sitting below. One townhouse, walked from top to ground.

The ritual of the house

Three floors, each with one duty, walked in order across a single evening.

IFirst floor

The salon

You begin upstairs with a glass and a few cold bites, in a low lit room where the evening is still finding its feet and no one is yet seated.

The kitchen

You climb to the pass and stand beside the open fire, where one course is finished in front of you and handed over before you take your seat.

The dining room

You descend for the long sitting, a single table held for the night, where the rest of the evening arrives at the pace of conversation.

One narrow house

A whole evening fits inside one door.

Tall windows, a stair that everyone climbs together, and rooms kept low and warm so the talking and the food carry the light from floor to floor.

Hospitality is a sequence, not a service.

Hospitality is a sequence, not a service. We read the room, hold the door open a little longer, and let one evening unfold the way a good story does.

We took a narrow townhouse on a quiet Stockholm street and gave each floor a single duty in the evening. You arrive into the upstairs salon for the first pour, you climb to the kitchen to stand beside the fire while a course is finished in your hands, and you settle at last into the dining room for the long sitting. Nothing is hurried, because the house is built to be walked, not rushed.

How one evening keeps its time.

18:00

The door opens and the first tables are walked up to the salon for a glass.

19:15

Guests climb to the kitchen, where a course is finished by the fire and handed over.

20:00

The room descends to the dining floor and the long sitting begins.

23:30

The last cellar pour is offered and the house slows toward the close.

An evening here is staged like a play across three floors, and the climb is the best part of the meal.
The Northern Table

The door is held, whenever you are ready to climb.
